Ruto didn't kill Kenei,his boss should be held accountable, Miguna claims

Controversial Lawyer Doctor Miguna Miguna has now rubbished the claims that Deputy President of Kenya William Ruto should record a statement after one of his chief security officer was mysteriously murdered.

This comes as investigation into the murder of Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei who was working at Harambee Annex office, the official office of DP takes new twist.

Taking the message to his Twitter on Friday, the exiled Lawyer opined that President Uhuru should be held accountable.

According to Miguna,Ruto is now powerless and he has no authority to order any execution.

''William Ruto is only a deputy president in name. His office is a shell. Although he tries to keep himself busy with church and "community" functions, Ruto has no job and zero power over the security forces. Only Despot Uhuru Kenyatta had the motive and ability to kill Kenei,''read Miguna's tweet.

On his part,Ruto has accused the Director of Criminal Investigation team led by Kinoti of sponsoring headlines and zero investigation towards the matter.

Kenei was to record a statement with DCI over ex-CS Rashid Echesa's fake arms scandal.

He is regarded to have been the top witness who would have led to a breakthrough in bid to unearth the details of sh39 billion fake arms tender.

Echesa was arrested but later released on sh1 million cash bail.
