Mzee Moi deserved 18 years in jail,says Mohammed Wehliye

Mzee Daniel Arap Moi should have been jailed for 18 good years,advisor to Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) Mohammed Wehliye has now opined.

According to Mr Wehliye, Moi's biggest blunder was refusing to appear before Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) of Kenya.

He further noted that Moi was only 'acquitted' of his crimes because of peacefully handing over power unlike many other African leaders who were stubborn.

''Do what Don? Moi refused to appear before TJRC. Moi was given a pass for all the crimes he committed simply because he handed over power peacefully. That is how low we've sunk. In another country,  Moi would have spent his last 18 years in jail,''read Wehliye's tweet.

However, several leaders led by DP Ruto have hailed the former president for his desire to politically transform the nation.

Mzee Moi will buried at his Kabarak residence on Wednesday.

The name of vaccine to counter corona virus announced

Health Workers in China.[Courtesy]. A reported 108 people succumbed to the deadly corona virus in China's mainland on Monday. This has increased tension around the world as over 25 countries have confirmed reported cases of the virus. The number of reported infections is now more than 40,000 with a larger percentage reported in Hubei and Wuhan provinces of China. However, the World Health Organization (WHO) have confirmed that the vaccine to counter the virus will be ready in 18 months. The official name announced is COVID-19. The death toll in China's mainland is now more than 1,000 people.
