Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has now publicly declare to campaign against Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) if it doesn't fulfill some conditions.
According to the Majority Leader in the Senate,BBI must capture all the aspirations of Kenyans.
He has vowed to reject a report which will benefit few individuals who are power hungry.
''If the final BBI report doesn’t capture the aspirations of the people of Kenya&a referendum to amend the constitution is organized with a draft that limits the sovereign power of the people or create tribal positions or undermine devolution,I will oppose&Will lead the NO Team,''he wrote on his Twitter account.
The BBI project was initiated by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga after the disputed 2017 general elections.
Murkomen is a close ally of DP Ruto and initially it was thought that the TangaTanga team would oppose the BBI.However, they supported it overwhelmingly during the launch in Bomas of Kenya.
