SHOCKING! How Raphael Tuju cheated death in 2003 plane crash
Embattled Cabinet Secretary without portfolio who once again cheated death for a second time is now admitted at the ICU in Karen Hospital.
Doctors have since confirmed that the Jubilee Party secretary general is in stable condition.
The CS luckily escaped death in a plane crash that left two people dying on the spot in 2003.
Then,Tuju was the Minister of Information and Communication and he was accompanied by Martha Karua ,Jebii Kilimo among other personalities during the Busia trip where they had gone to celebrate Narc election results.
After the party,Tuju and his company boarded a Kisumu bound plane only to hit a power line upon take off.
The plane crashed on the spot and the then Labour Minister Mohammed Khalif together with two other pilots died on the spot.
Raphael Tuju while speaking to local daily in 2017 revealed that ordeal.
“Khalif had gone to the mosque and we were waiting for him.It took too long and it was getting hot. So I walked out to the
pilot and asked why we were still there” Tuju told KTN.
“When Khalif arrived, he went and sat on my seat at the front. I couldn’t tell him to leave my seat. Unfortunately, when the
plane crashed he (Khalif) hit his head on the barrier and died,”Tuju said, describing the event as a very traumatic experience.
Tuju was on Wednesday transferred to Karen Hospital after an accident enroute Kabarak,for the burial ceremony of Mzee Daniel Arap Moi.
