Baringo senator Gedion Moi has now made a touching fare thee well message to his father, the late Mzee Daniel Arap Moi.

Taking to his social media moments before finally laying Mzee Moi's body to rest,the firebrand senator noted that it was a big blow to him for losing such a caring father.

His closeness to Mzee Moi was witness during the entire ailment Moi.

''I was always by your side even when you were bedridden at the hospital, for the burden of an ageing father belongs to
the son. Death has snatched you from us but in the fullness this time, death shall also die. Fare thee well my blood and my flesh. I now hand you over back to your creator. Safiri salama Mzee,''he wrote on his Facebook account.

In the same event, Senator Moi was given the mantle to take over from his father. He was given the iconic Fimbo ya Nyayo.

Mzee Moi served as the second President of Kenya for a period of 24 years.
