Furious DP Ruto blast local daily for sponsoring headlines

Deputy President William Ruto has now fired back over claims that his office facilitated the gun fraud.

According to Ruto,his office is not concerned with any procurement for any Ministry in the government.

He has since urged Kenyans to ignore the choreographed headlines in the media.

''ODP does NOT procure for any ministry/department. Question:other than 23min in Annex,for months,which government offices involved in the 'tender' did the scammers visit? Did they access DOD? Who facilitated? Who did they meet? Get the truth.Forget the sponsored NONSENSE in media,''read Ruto's tweet.

DP Ruto's sentiments come after a local daily reported that there was heavy search at his Harambee Annex office by the DCI officers.

It further noted that three of Ruto's close associates are lined up for questioning; Farouk Kibet(PA), Ken Osinde (Chief of Staff) and Reuben Maiyo (Private Secretary).

Nakuru based politician Davis Ruto is now on EACC radar after his bank accounts were allegedly frozen over corruption cases.  The youthful politician is also alleged to have fled the country to avoid being questioned by the hawk eyed Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
